On May 12, 2018, I graduated from Lamar University with a Master of Business Administration. I began my studies in the College of Education taking graduate-level courses. I became a Certified Digital Educator then transferred to complete my MBA. Relevant coursework: Quantitative Statistical Analysis, Multivariate Analysis, Cost Volume Profit Analysis
I am a passionate leader in Information Technology. My focus is managing projects while combining programming, SQL skills, and the best practices to deliver information solutions to improve productivity. I have been employed with Port Arthur Independent School District for five years. I have over 10 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst. I plan, design and coordinate systems integration across 17 campuses. I serve as a liaison for various departments by performing system analysis, solutions and programming in line with business and academic needs. I have knowledge of SQL and Oracle Database 11 and 12c. I have studied SAP-ERP modules in-depth at Lamar University.
In the Spring of 2016, I became a Certified Digital Educator during my studies in the College of Education at Lamar University. I am also a Texas Certified Educator in Technology Applications grades EC-12 and Generalist grades 4-8. In 2011 I was the Director of Career and Technical Education for two years at Bob Hope School. I taught several business courses and computer science courses, grades 7-12. I performed many roles such as managing the website and I was also a photographer for the campus. Apart from that, I solved any technical issues on campus and assisted with networking and active directory. I used a lot of current technology in my classroom including SchoolVue. I attended the TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) conference in Austin. I continued to keep the students in my classroom motivated and introduced them to Oracle. I went to the Oracle downloads website and downloaded the database software to each computer in my lab. I utilized lessons that went with the database, (Introduction to Oracle9i: SQL). Connecting to the Oracle Database provided the students with a real-world experience.
In 2008 I received my Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems at Lamar University in Beaumont. My professional career began at the Diocese of Beaumont. I worked as a database administrator while I attended Lamar State Orange for my teaching certification.
